Doctor Who: The Fires of Pompeii (series 4, episode 2)
Let me start off by saying that the line "We're in Pompeii, and it's Volcano Day" is without a doubt the cheesiest line I have ever heard in my life, however the episode itself was highly entertaining.

The episode takes place in Ancient Rome, the day before the infamous Pompeii disaster, where many lost their lives... a disaster apparantly caused by the Doctor and a Spock like decision ("the needs of the many outweight the needs of the few"). I found it to be an entertaining way to explain one of the worst natural events of mankinds reign on this planet.

The episode itself was a bit of a hit and miss for me at first, a little bit creepy and strange at times. Fortunately things really pick up when the Doctor and Donna head in to the volcano.

I love how this show can really make you feel for its cast, even though the majority is only around for a single episode. I have been immensely impressed with each episode thus far and can't wait to check out the new one next week.
